AGMA have awarded Me Learning the framework agreement for the provision of a regional e-learning portal following their successful tender response.

Under the terms of the agreement, Me Learning will provide eight Local Authorities in the area with their Learning Management System which comes with a comprehensive suite of over 180 high-quality e-learning courses.

All staff and nominated partner agencies will be able to access these online training courses which cover a diverse range of subjects including ‘Health’ , ‘Social Care’, ‘Business Skills’, ‘IT and Project Management’ and ‘Leadership’.

The eight Local Authorities that have signed up to the framework are ‘Salford City Council’, ‘Manchester City Council’, ‘Wigan Council’, ‘Rochdale Borough Council’, ‘Trafford Council’, ‘Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council’, ‘Blackburn with Darwen Council’ and ‘Bury Council’.

In total, more than 40,000 individual course licences have been purchased, which will, together with Me Learning’s flexible and easy to administer Learning Management System (Blue LMS) provide the backbone of each Local Authority’s Corporate e-learning strategy for the next two to four years.

‘We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this contract. We have been providing online training to Local Authorities since 2006 and over the past two years we have made a significant investment in developing our new Learning Management System’

“We simply couldn’t find anything on the market that offered the functionality we know our customers want at an affordable price, so we decided to develop one ourselves. This award proves we have created a product that is easy-to-use, simple to administer, functionally rich and doesn’t cost the earth!”

Nick Richards – Director at Me Learning

“Administration of the LMS is simple. Navigation within the system is straightforward, and there is a flow within the LMS which makes everything easy to access.

We have been able to design our own front page and ensure that when staff log in they have everything they need in front of them (this is individual to different groups of staff and teams).

Our learners have commented on both the ease of use and quality of courses.”

Carol Glover, Business & Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator at Rochdale Borough Council

Within three weeks of the contract being formally signed-off four of the Local Authorities went live with the final group planning to go live by the end of April.
